Skip stitch blade crochet pattern

Hay bails free pattern

You will need
Rotary tool
Skip stitch blade
Size 00 3.50 MM steel Crochet hook
1 skein Pantons Classic Wool Dark Grey Marl approx 210 yards
Flannel blanket and burp rags with serged edge or zig zag sewn edge

I skein will do the edge of a 36x36 inch blanket and 2 burp rags

Get your blanket ready how ever you like, this post is just the edge pattern, I will do a post later about how I make my blankets an burps and do the holes. This pattern was made by me specifically for a skip cut blade but could be adjusted to work with differs yarns/hooks/ actual hem stitched holes. Enough with that... Here's the pattern

Row 1: Join yarn in any hole, chain 1, 2 SC in the same hole, 2 sc in each hole around, slip stitch to first sc to join row.

Row 2: chain 2, **DC in the next 3 stitches, DC around the 3 DC you just did, skip 1 stitch, repeat ** around to end, you might have to adjust a few of the last stitches, slip stitch to the first DC, cut weave in end and enjoy

Notes for row 2, on the corners I don't skip a stitch between each "bail clusters" this keeps the edge laying flat all the way around.

And there you go, love how the edge lays flat and goes so cute with the barrel of monkeys fabric! Enjoy!
